Demo Reel
A short reel containing the best shots of the four projects below.
Movement, Shots, and Angles
This was a simple video where we tried to learn different shots that can be made. After shooting, I put all of the shots in order, shortened most down to 5 seconds, and added titles to each shot to label them.
Newscast
In this video, we made a short newscast covering Serendipity. This video made it into the Studio 96 newscast. For this video, we did a standup at the S.U.B., filmed b-roll of the event, and interviewed many participants. For the editing, it was as simple as adding the clips in the timeline and cutting up the interviews for just the parts we wanted.
Public Service Announcement
For a P.S.A., we decided to cover vaping. I did a simple one-shot frame of our two actress’s and then added a few extra effects. First I did a zoom-in shot when our ‘vaper’ pulled out a ‘vape’. I then layered some unlicensed music and a record scratch sound effect underneath the video. I also screen recorded myself searching for theTruth.com and added it for extra instruction.

Recruitment
In this project, I was asked to make a recruitment video for UWA. I did so by getting a student of color to represent the university. She read off a script I gave her, and I interlaced b-roll in between her talking. I also added some unlicensed photos and music, as well as some talking points against going to college by some celebrities, including Elon Musk. The editing was more of the simple place clips in the timeline and put more clips over them when needed.
